|Recommended: YesPerfect for me... — I love my apartment and it is absolutely perfect for me. The Kitchen is my favorite part of the place. The location is perfect and is within walking distance of waterside. Perfect for anyone looking for something in the city.

|Recommended: YesGreat and quiet place to live — I almost thought that I didn't have neighbors because I never hear them. Alas, I see them come and go all the time. I'm positive they're real The complex is well-kept and I always feel at home when I arrive. For someone who works hard like I do, one of the most important things is to feel welcome and happy when you come home. I have felt this way every day since I have moved in and I have so many great things to say. If I wanted to stay in this town forever, I don't think I would ever leave

|Recommended: YesGreat apartment for living in downtown Norfolk — We spent one year living at Aura Downtown and really enjoyed our time there. The apartment had great appliances and was constructed well, nothing felt chintzy. The attached parking garage is perfect for a downtown apartment. The garage does have a few bike storage areas however, even with our bikes double locked, they were still stolen. We lived on the top floor, so can't say anything regarding the noise level from above. But, next-door neighbor noise was basically nonexistent. This apartment is in a great location for walking anywhere downtown and we always felt very safe.
Just like every apartment, we did have a few cons about living at Aura Downtown. The drains in the bathroom were very sensitive and would clog easily, it was just a nuisance we weren't expecting. Also having our bikes stollen was a bummer, but not the apartment's fault...however we didn't receive much if any concern or help from the office when we notified them of the stollen bikes. Our only other con would be hefty move out fees to cover cleaning and carpet cleaning, this basically takes up a good chunk of your security deposit. We have lived in many apartment complexes and never had such pricey move out fees. We spent a great amount of time cleaning our apartment on our move-out day to avoid such fees but received them anyways, so our advice would be to save yourself some time and not worry about cleaning since they'll charge you anyways.

|Recommended: YesGreat Apartment — Overall I am happy living here. I had to find a place to live quickly and the staff made the move as smooth as possible. I haven't had trouble finding parking, but the spots are a little narrow. I can overlook the narrow spaces since the deck is secure and attached to the building which is hard to find living in town. I do occasionally hear my upstairs neighbor of if people are being loud in the hall. However it is not often and does not change my views on living here.

|Recommended: YesThe apartment is nice, however the parking lot is terrible. — The parking lot spaces are very close together. It is difficult to park and open your car door without hitting cars pillars next to you. I would advise someone to be prepared to get some damage on their car due to these crammed spaced.
